'D-Day Ball, Skå, 2015'

In the evening after the shows ended there was a hangar ball, with a dresscode (the entrance fashion police got more lax as they drank more beer).

Beer rations!

'Veterandag på Skå 2015' - Spitfire!

FINALLY, eh? This totally deserves its own post. I turn into a drooling fangirl!

A repetition from the other plane-post:

These photos deserve to be enlarged and thus I at not going to make any smaller thumbs because I love these birds so much. For some mysterious reason I decided to not bring my tele lens in the morning.. so these are taken with a 18/55, a compact camera and my phone. I haven't edited any of them, what I managed to catch is what you get..

This one is almost spooky, like it is about to fly into a rift in the universe. In reality it is just silhouetted against the clouds with sunlight reflected off.

Low over the ground

Despite my extremely awkward photo posing this photo thrills me. As I said, fangirl.

'Veterandag på Skå 2015' - Friends and I

From left to right: 1) The devil is in the detail, and these gloves consist of 20% cotton, 40% swearing, and 40% hours of my life I am never getting back. 2) The devil is in the detail, Ms H: The rough black cotton ribbon on the hat was non-festive, so I spent the morning exchanging it and making a matching belt. Probably that was the main reason we were 1.5 hours late. Well, could be that it started with Ms H being late arriving at my place. Next year we should probably prep in advance. 3) I am unable to do anything but put my hair in a ponytail, but a kind friend of a friend combed it up and stuck a billion bobby pins in my scalp to make it stay.

Photoception: Ms H and I are visible in one of the lenses of Ms B's sunglasses each.

From left to right: 1) Miss S. 2) Ms H and Mr L. Note Ms H's matchy belt. Despite the bow it buttons on.

The entrance guards to the ball were not at all sure if they should let Ms H in.
(They are actually good friends of us both, so no worries in the end!)

This was probably my favourite show. The exactness of the quarter turns, close to the ground, was just lovely to watch.

This might be my favourite non-Spitfire photo.

Lots of air traffic to keep track of! The ambulance helicopter weren't above doing some showy flying themselves.

Some of these make me feel like I am at a viewpoint above the plane, and there is a swirly planet below. There's more of those in the Spitfire post.
