Duct Tape

In the beginning of April, they promised us the hottest spring on record. As May drew to a close it turned out (unsurprisingly to us who experienced it) to have been one of the coldest on record, but we were promised the hottest summer etc..

Now we have had the rainiest June on record, and it is showing no sign of letting up anytime soon.

Anyway, about the photo. I guess it is time for either duct tape or new rubber boots..?

Baby clothes for the boss-man.

Credits:
I followed a trail of free patterns around the Swedish blogosphere and wound up taking the most inspiration from BlueWhiskey, but using garter stitch on the front instead of reverse stockinette, as well as choosing to finish it differently (with a little split adding to the impression of a cardigan rather than a sweater) and some frills since they are girls.

The green one was the first I knit and special thanks go to Brewdog, my coffeebrewer (a cup of coffee in between every beer to keep me awake), and to Johnny Paycheck.
The red one's top half has to be credited to tequila, to Erik who brought the tequila, and to Brandi Carlile, while the lower half to copious amounts of iced coffee and to Awolnation.

I must admit, I don't think knitting baby clothes is my cup of tea. It is a long time since I was so glad to be done with a project. Hope the girls will like their new clothes, though.

Planning a roadtrip

In just over six weeks I am flying off to the US again, to go on an epic road trip with my friend Kate. We will be driving coast to coast during two weeks (NYC-SF), with wonderful things like the wedding of a mutual dear friend and an awesome concert to attend along the way.

I am doing a whole lot of planning around this, but one thing is important and cannot be left to the last minute: MUSIC! I have to start compiling the playlists I want to bring along for this roadtrip. I have quite a lot myself, but I want suggestions for things we need to listen to on this drive. Artist, albums or specific songs - bring it on!

Comment here, on the thread on FB, at G+, or e-mail me. If it is something I might not know, tell me what it is to mentally prepare me before I listen to it.. and if you have a reason for adding it please include it (like Erik suggesting 'A Thousand Miles From Nowhere' for the desert stretch)!
