I have read some of them. This book is not by Feynman, it is self-biography by a guy who worked at CalTech in the eighties (thus being a colleague of sorts of F.). He references what Feynman said to him sometimes. I think the title is for selling the book, honestly.

Yes, and I have usually done so when photoing things I was selling, but I stopped at some point. It took me many years before I realised what was missing in my pictures! Of course, it isn't doable in all pictures, but in this case, when putting the items flat down, it was easy to do. I will have to be better about scale.

I like the way you put in the ruler to show the scale.

It reminds me of the geologists (I work with a bunch of them) who always put in a rock hammer or a coin or a box of snus to indicate the scale of the pictures of rocks >:)
